Sofita is a traditional Cretan stone built villa. Originally built during the 19 th century and renovated in 2003. Situated in the traditional village of Maroulas , which is just 8 km away from the town of Rethymno and only 3 km away from the wonderful beach side.
Taverns, a café and a mini-market can be found within walking distance, in Maroulas village. It is less than an hour drive from all major Cretan towns, cities and sights.
Villa Sofita is be autifully harmonized with the natural environment. This stone built, traditional guest house with its tiled roof provides a magnificent view of the village and the wonderful green mountains.
Villa Sofita is 60m2 wide. Spacious, comfortable & sunny, can easily accommodate 2-4 persons. The fully equipped kitchen includes from stove & oven to toaster & coffe machine. A nice fireplace built in 1900, dominates the kitchen & lounge. Take a break & relax in the living room having a drink, playing chess & watching TV. From the balcony you can happily enjoy the fabulous Mountain View blending into the clear blue sky. The traditional 19th century bedroom provides the perfect place for resting & whatever else you can think of. The library of the house hosts a wide selection of more than 120 carefully selected books.
